Amaterasu is benevolent goddess, with a maternal, happy-go-lucky nature.  Like any dog, she's playful and enjoys the company (and attention) of others, and she'll readily show off and lap up any praise she gets.
But although resolute in her mission to save her land and helpful to those in need, Ammy can also be self-indulgent and lazy.   Rudely so, as she's been known to take naps when people get long-winded.   She's arrogant and touchy about her faults as well, especially when her intelligence is called into question.  And she can come off as thick, perhaps because she likes to keep knowledge to herself and gives little away; she is wiser than she lets on.
